Welcome to Stasis Science

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Stasis Science website and your purchase of our products. By accessing our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.


Please read these Terms carefully. This document includes important information about:


  • Who can use our website and purchase our products

  • What SubZero is and what it is not

  • Your rights and our rights regarding orders and accounts

  • How disputes are resolved


If you don't agree with these Terms, please don't use our website or purchase our products.


 

 

1. Eligibility & Account Requirements

Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to purchase from Stasis Science. By placing an order, you confirm you are 18 or older.

Account Registration

When you create an account or place an order, you agree to:


  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information

  • Maintain and update your information as needed

  • Keep your account credentials secure

  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

  • Accept responsibility for all activity under your account

One Account Per Person

Each person may maintain only one account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent purchase limits, abuse promotions, or evade restrictions is prohibited and grounds for account termination.


We may link accounts by shipping address, billing address, email, phone number, payment method, device information, or IP address to detect and prevent abuse.


 

 

2. Product Information

What SubZero Is

SubZero is a wearable portable air conditioner designed to clip onto your shirt or pants for personal cooling on the go. Complete product specifications are available on the product page and included documentation.

What SubZero Is NOT

SubZero is not:


  • A medical device or therapeutic product

  • A substitute for environmental climate control in extreme conditions

  • Guaranteed to perform identically for every user in every environment

Individual Experience May Vary

Cooling effectiveness may vary based on ambient temperature, humidity, airflow, body heat, and how the unit is worn. Our product descriptions describe expected performance based on standard conditions.

Your Responsibility

By purchasing from Stasis Science, you acknowledge:


  • You have read and understood the product specifications and usage instructions

  • You will use SubZero as directed

  • You will discontinue use and contact us if you experience any issue with the product


 

 

3. Ordering & Pricing

Order Acceptance

All orders are subject to acceptance. We reserve the right to:


  • Refuse or cancel any order for any reason

  • Limit order quantities per person, household, or address

  • Refuse service to anyone at our discretion

  • Require additional verification for suspicious orders


Reasons we may refuse or cancel orders include: suspected fraud, past account abuse, pricing errors, inventory issues, unusual order patterns, high-risk shipping addresses, or violation of these Terms.


If we cancel your order after charging you, we'll refund the amount charged.

Pricing & Payment

All prices are in USD and subject to change without notice. Pricing errors are not binding - if we discover an error after you order, we'll notify you and give you the option to proceed at the correct price or cancel.


By placing an order, you authorize us to charge your payment method for the total amount including product cost, shipping, and any applicable taxes.


Payment processing is handled securely through third-party processors. We do not store complete credit card information on our servers.

Promotional Codes & Discounts

Promotional codes and discounts:


  • Cannot be combined unless explicitly stated

  • Are limited to one per customer unless otherwise specified

  • May have expiration dates or eligibility restrictions

  • Can be revoked for abuse or fraudulent use


Creating multiple accounts to use promotional codes multiple times is prohibited and may result in order cancellation and account termination.

Subscription Orders

If you enroll in our subscription program:


Auto-Renewal: Your subscription automatically renews at the frequency you selected (monthly, every 2 months, etc.) until you cancel. You'll be charged automatically for each shipment to the payment method on file.


Subscription Management: You can modify frequency, skip shipments, or cancel anytime by contacting support@stasisscience.com. Cancellation requests must be received at least 3 business days before your next scheduled shipment to prevent processing.


Pricing: Subscription pricing is locked for active subscribers. If we change pricing, your rate remains the same unless you cancel and resubscribe.


Subscription Terms: Your subscription is governed by our Return and Refund Policy. First shipment is covered by our 30-Day Guarantee if initiated within 30 days of delivery. Subsequent shipments are not eligible for refunds once shipped.


 

 

4. Shipping & Delivery

Our complete Shipping Policy is available separately on our website. Key points:


  • Processing time: 2-5 business days for production and fulfillment

  • Delivery: Estimates provided at checkout (not guarantees)

  • Tracking: Provided via email when order ships

  • Delivery confirmation: Carrier tracking showing "Delivered" constitutes proof of delivery

  • Risk of loss: Passes to you upon delivery confirmation


We ship from the United States. International customers are responsible for customs duties, taxes, fees, and understanding their country's import regulations.


We are not responsible for carrier delays, customs delays, lost packages after delivery confirmation, or packages stolen after delivery.


 

 

5. User Responsibilities & Prohibited Conduct

Proper Use

You agree to:


  • Use products only as directed in their respective instructions

  • Store products properly according to instructions

  • Follow all safety warnings listed on the product and packaging

  • Report any product defects or issues to our support team

Prohibited Activities

You may NOT:


  • Resell, redistribute, or commercially use our products without written permission

  • Falsely claim non-delivery when tracking shows delivered

  • File fraudulent damage, defect, or refund claims

  • Create multiple accounts to abuse promotions or evade restrictions

  • Share account credentials or allow others to use your account

  • Use our website or products for any illegal purpose

  • Attempt to harm our website security or functionality

  • Scrape, copy, or steal our content, images, or proprietary information

  • Misrepresent your identity, age, or eligibility

  • Submit false information in orders or customer service requests


Violation of prohibited conduct may result in order cancellation, account termination, and legal action if appropriate.


 

 

6. Intellectual Property

Our Content

All content on our website - including text, images, logos, product descriptions, graphics, videos, and design - is owned by Stasis Science or licensed to us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.


You may not:


  • Copy, reproduce, or redistribute our content without permission

  • Use our trademarks, logos, or branding without written authorization

  • Reverse engineer or attempt to replicate our product designs

  • Create derivative works based on our content

Your Content

If you submit reviews, testimonials, photos, or other content to us:


  • You grant us a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, modify, and display your content for marketing, advertising, and promotional purposes

  • You confirm you own the rights to the content and it doesn't violate anyone else's rights

  • You confirm the content is truthful and doesn't make false claims

  • We may edit or remove content at our discretion


We are not obligated to use any content you submit.


 

 

7. Limitation of Liability

Maximum Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to our products or services is limited to the amount you paid for the specific product at issue.


We are not liable for:


  • Indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages

  • Lost profits, lost revenue, or lost business opportunities

  • Emotional distress or reputational harm

  • Third-party claims or actions

  • Issues arising from your failure to follow product instructions

  • Damage resulting from misuse, modification, or improper storage

  • Delays or failures caused by events beyond our control

No Warranties

Our products and website are provided "AS-IS" and "AS-AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind.


We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including:


  • Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose

  • Warranties that products will achieve specific results

  • Warranties that our website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure

  • Warranties regarding accuracy or completeness of content


This doesn't affect warranties that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including: natural disasters, pandemics, wars, civil unrest, labor disputes, supplier failures, carrier issues, government actions, or technical failures.


 

 

8. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

Contact Us First

If you have a billing issue, question about a charge, or dispute about your order, please contact support@stasisscience.com before filing a chargeback. We respond within 12-24 hours and resolve most issues quickly.

Chargeback Process

Credit card chargebacks should be reserved for actual fraud or unauthorized charges.


If you file a chargeback:


  • Our 30-Day Guarantee becomes unavailable (your bank takes over dispute resolution)

  • We are required to defend the chargeback with our payment processor

  • We will provide evidence including order records, shipping confirmation, tracking, email correspondence, IP data, and device information

  • The investigation timeline is controlled by your bank and processor


For valid delivered orders, we contest chargebacks through standard processor dispute procedures.

Chargeback Consequences

Filing chargebacks without first contacting us or filing fraudulent chargebacks may result in:


  • Account termination and permanent ban from future purchases

  • Collection of chargeback fees and administrative costs for invalid disputes

  • Reporting to fraud prevention networks that merchants use to identify problematic customers


We understand chargebacks exist to protect consumers from actual fraud. We simply ask that you contact us first to resolve issues directly, which is usually faster and easier for everyone.


 

 

9. Privacy & Data Collection

Information We Collect

To process orders and provide customer service, we collect:


  • Personal information (name, email, phone, addresses)

  • Order and transaction history

  • Shipping tracking and delivery confirmations

  • Device information, IP addresses, and browsing data

  • Customer service correspondence

  • Health-related information you voluntarily provide

  • Send order confirmations and shipping updates

We retain order and transaction data for up to 3 years for business records, tax compliance, fraud prevention, and chargeback defense.

We participate in e-commerce fraud prevention networks. For suspected fraud or abuse, we may share relevant information (name, address, email, payment data, order history) with these networks to protect merchants and consumers.

10. Dispute Resolution & Arbitration

Informal Resolution First

If you have a dispute with us, please first contact support@stasisscience.com so we can try to resolve it informally. Most issues can be resolved through good-faith communication.

Binding Arbitration

If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, you agree that all disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration rather than in court, except for small claims court matters that qualify.


Arbitration is conducted on an individual basis - there are no class arbitrations or representative actions (see Class Action Waiver below).


Arbitration Process:


  • Either party may initiate arbitration by sending written notice

  • Arbitration will be administered by JAMS under their Streamlined Arbitration Rules

  • Arbitration will be conducted in Los Angeles County, California

  • The arbitrator's decision is final and binding

  • Each party bears their own costs unless the arbitrator awards fees

Class Action Waiver

You agree to resolve disputes with us only on an individual basis. You waive the right to participate in class actions, class arbitrations, or representative proceedings.


This means you cannot join your claim with other customers' claims, act as a class representative, or participate in consolidated proceedings. Each customer must arbitrate their own individual dispute.

Exceptions

This arbitration agreement doesn't prevent either party from:


  • Seeking relief in small claims court for qualifying claims

  • Seeking injunctive relief in court for intellectual property violations

  • Reporting suspected criminal activity to authorities

Right to Opt Out

You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by sending written notice to our address within 30 days of your first purchase. The notice must include your name, address, order number, and a statement that you opt out of the arbitration agreement. If you opt out, disputes will be resolved in court under the Governing Law provisions.


 

 

11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California and applicable federal law, without regard to conflict of law provisions.


For disputes not subject to arbitration, you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of state and federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.


 

 

12. Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for:


  • Violation of these Terms

  • Fraudulent activity or abuse

  • Multiple chargebacks or excessive refund requests

  • Providing false information

  • Any other reason at our discretion


Upon termination:


  • Your right to use our website ends immediately

  • Outstanding orders may be canceled and refunded

  • We may retain information as necessary for legal compliance and fraud prevention


 

 

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically to reflect changes in our business, legal requirements, or industry practices.


When we make changes:


  • The "Last Updated" date at the top will be updated

  • Material changes will be communicated via email or website notice

  • Continued use of our website after changes constitutes acceptance


For active subscriptions or pending orders at the time of a change, the Terms in effect when you placed that order will govern that specific transaction.


 

 

14. General Provisions

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Return and Refund Policy, and Shipping Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Stasis Science.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full effect.

No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any provision doesn't waive our right to enforce it later.

Assignment

You may not transfer or assign your rights under these Terms. We may assign our rights and obligations to another entity.

Relationship

These Terms don't create a partnership, employment, agency, or joint venture relationship.
